Ibercisa builds several distinct winch families — escort towing winches, render-recovery winches (with a load-limiting release function for towline safety), and coring/deep-sea winches for research vessels — each with different brake, clutch and spooling hardware. Confirming which winch family and drive type (electric or hydraulic) is installed narrows the parts search considerably; a winch model, serial number, drawing or photo of the old component helps identify the exact item.
