RTA-series (camshaft, mechanical injection) engine parts
We check RTA-series (camshaft, mechanical injection) engine parts against the engine type, serial number and any revision marked on the old part or drawing.

Send a part number, model, serial number, drawing, photo or old reference for a Sulzer part, and we'll check it before quoting.
Marine engine brands
Sulzer's low-speed two-stroke engines went through several generations — RD, RND, RTA (camshaft-driven, mechanical fuel injection) and RT-flex (electronically controlled common-rail injection). Wärtsilä acquired Sulzer's diesel engine business in 1997 and evolved the RTA line into RT-flex, so a request may reference either name depending on when the engine was built. The critical distinction for spares: RTA and RT-flex fuel injection and exhaust valve actuation equipment are not interchangeable, even on the same bore size, while structural parts like cylinder liners, piston crowns and bearing shells are frequently shared. Engine type, bore size and serial number should be confirmed before sourcing.
Customers can send part numbers, maker references, equipment model data, serial numbers, nameplates, photos, drawings, old offers or previous supply documents. We review the information before quoting so the request is handled as a technical procurement task rather than a generic product search.
Brand names on this page are used only to identify equipment, models, parts and buyer search references.
Parts and equipment we can review
Use this page when your purchasing or engineering team needs review by part number, model, serial number, drawing, photo or old commercial reference.
We check RTA-series (camshaft, mechanical injection) engine parts against the engine type, serial number and any revision marked on the old part or drawing.
We check RT-flex-series (common-rail, electronic injection) engine parts against the engine type, serial number and any revision marked on the old part or drawing.
For cylinder liner and piston components, the engine type, cylinder number and serial number narrow the request faster than a part name alone.
For fuel injection and exhaust valve equipment, send the body size, port connection and pressure class where known, plus a nameplate photo if available.
Bearing shells and structural parts are matched on bore, outer diameter and width — a caliper measurement is often enough where a marking has worn off.
RTA-to-RT-flex cross-reference RFQs are reviewed against maker reference, equipment model and any photos or drawings you can send.

RFQ examples
| Example request | Helpful details to send |
|---|---|
| Sulzer RTA cylinder liner or piston crown RFQs by bore size | Part number, maker, model, serial number, quantity, photos or drawings, delivery location and urgency. |
| RT-flex fuel injection equipment requests with engine serial number | Part number, maker, model, serial number, quantity, photos or drawings, delivery location and urgency. |
| structural parts cross-reference between RTA and RT-flex bore sizes | Part number, maker, model, serial number, quantity, photos or drawings, delivery location and urgency. |
| bearing shell requests from old parts-book references | Part number, maker, model, serial number, quantity, photos or drawings, delivery location and urgency. |
Attach the clearest technical information available. A single photo of a nameplate, an old offer line or a marked drawing can prevent delays when there are similar models, revisions or connection types.
If the item is obsolete or hard to identify, include dimensions, application notes and any alternative references already checked by your engineering team. We can review the request and reply by email with the next steps.
